A - Dark brown pour with a one-finger thick milky stout-like head that gradually reduces to a coffee like lacing. Sediments were noticeable amidst the dark brown liquid. (4)
S - Caramel malts were clear with obvious hints of alcohol and a mild revalation of dark fruity notes (3.5)
T - Light tangy brown sugary notes upfront with some dark fruitiness, spices and a bready, yeasty malt backing; generally not as sweet as expected and finishes with notes of raisins and a light lingering sourness (4)
M - Medium-bodied and with a fair amount of carbonation; slightly sticky yet slightly watery at but goes down creamy smooth (4)
D - Pretty drinkable due to the smoothness and stealthy 8 ABV but not as enjoyable as most premium Belgian dark styles due to its tangy nature as well as minimal dark fruity presence (4)

Dark brown color with red highlights and with a huge thick beige head with great retention and leaving some laces.
Aroma with notes of prunes, chocolate, nuts and molasses.
Very nice flavor with notes of chocolate, spices, prunes, figs, grapes, pears and cola. Just a hint of tartness and bitterness. Dry and mildly bitter aftertaste.
Medium body with appropriate lively carbonation. Alcohol of 8.5% abv was dangerously masked.
Outstanding beer, tasty and still very easy to drink. Perfectly balancing fruity sweetness with some tartness and bitterness, not a single sharp edge and with enough complexity to make it interesting. And despite its high abv I could have drunk a few bottles. I was expecting a sipper, but you know what, this was actually good.
Not sure why this one tasted so much better than the first I tried a long time ago.
