Poured from bottle into Delirium tulip glass.
Appearence: Copper brownish yellow, head settles to make a thin but lasting lace of an eighth of an inch.
Smell: Smell of honey, hints of malt. Could be stronger and lacks complexity.
Taste: Very bitter, almost overwhelms everything else. You can get some floral hints at the end, really a very bitter beer. I can't adequately describe the bitterness, it isn't hops but something one encounters in bigger maecrobeers. Disappointing, what happened to some of the sweetness in the nose?
Mouthfeel: Nice, neither too thick nor thin.
Drinkability: Decent beer but it is one-dimensional, wouldn't want to have it again. Maybe the label should have given it away. Not like anything else this brewery produces (thankfully for them).

33 cL brown bottle, distinct red jacket, poured into a snifter, in Toulouse, France, at noon, Christmas Day, 2023.
Bottled on November 17, 2023.
Reasonable head. Solid gold body. Fishnet lace.
Taste reminds me of a honeyed Delirium Tremens. Glides down easily. Crisp! Center of the tongue hop hit. Satisfying finish displays a balance of hop, malt, yeast. 8.5% ABV is the parenthesis. Sweet aftertaste.
Body is cleanly full, delivers surprisingly low but lively carbonation.
Overall, the fine folks at Brouwerij Huyghe offer up a right fine Christmas beer with an attitude. She’s a welcome sight this Christmas day. Cheers!

750 ml mock ceramic corked & caged bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Produced by Brasserie Duwac & Co. (Mouscron). ABV is 8.5%. Clear golden colour, huge white head. Nice aroma of Belgian ale yeast, mild spices and white kandij sugar syrup. Medium sweet and mildly spicy flavour, "typically Belgian", moderate herbal hops. Very refreshing and easy drinking for its strength.

From Uvinum. In Teku glass. Playing Unepic. Reminds me their delirium tremens. Maybe a step below, with less taste, but good and easy drinking anyway.

Clear golden color with generous head. Yeasty, banana aroma. Taste is really balanced. Some fruity esters and a bit of bitterness too. 8.5% ABV is very well hidden. Easy drinking and enjoyable.

A: Golden orange with little haze, fair carbonation and a huge off white head of 4 fingers. Leaves small spots as lacing.
S: Belgian yeasts, stone fruit like nectarine, light smokiness, light nail polish, a little alcohol burn in the nostrils.
T: Light sweetness, a little nectarine, lightly fruity like yellow melon, phenols, nail polish.
M: Medium lightly syrupy body, acrid, slightly clingy sticky finish. Little carbonation.
O: Representative of the picture on the bottle. Slightly classy, and slightly, well you can guess. Got and drank in Kunming, Dec 29th, 2014.

Drank it at Delirium Cafe, Brussels, Belgium
Color was orange with a nearly snow white head. Slightly cloudy.
Smelled sweet, but that was the intent of the variety.
Tasted delicious. Though described often as a BSA, it's more of a cross between a Blonde and a Holiday beer, though no use of dark candi sugar or roasted malts so the result is still very light. Definitely lots of hints of holiday spices.
Mouthfeel was pleasant; in this respect, no different than a dozen BSAs.

Finally got round to opening my 0.75 litre bottle when a mate stayed for the weekend (25 May 2013): poured into two 'Duvel' glassses.
I love sweet beers and this did the trick for me.
Pours an orange gold colour with a white staying, but thin head.
Sweet nose and taste: like sugar has been poured into the final stages of the brewing process, or added to the bottle (like the old home brewing way) before closing the cap. Spicy notes too, corriander and cloves came to mind along with yeast esters and pie crust.
The sweetness however overpowers everything else and I couldn't keep my eyes from Santa's crutch, I'm sure it was winking at me!

It has a light amber color, with a lot of floating chunkies, not too small, too. Average white foam.
The smell is absurdely sweet, heavy, sickly and sugary.
The taste is maybe even worse.
Fruity, sweetness, candy sugar, melon, tropical fruit.
Boring.

Had this beer at the Essen Christmas beer festival, last sunday. I enjoyed this festival because of the wide variety of Christmas beers.
This one came out of the bottle into a tasting glass.
This is a blond x-mas ale. Nice white head ans some carbonation. Hoppy smell. Soft smooth taste.
