A: Translucent deep red/brown. The normal particulate levels for a bottle conditioned ale. Pours with a big fluffy head which collapses to a thin, tight layer. Strong lacing on the glass.
S: Sweet and sour, lightly lambic; trappist style phenolics. Initially there is a bit of a carbonic twang but this quickly fades.
T: Very complex, malty, apples, cherries, dark syrup, light on the hops. Perhaps slightly too much carbonic acid bite but this is one to swirl and savour slowly so this dissipates as the glass empties. There is a lasting taste of hops...
M: Firm, chewy, fluffy, big mouthfeel.
D: Gimme another!
Serving type: bottle
