Pours a one finger head over an orange tinted mahogany body. The head doesnt stick around for long and nor does the lace. Aromas of cherries, raspberries, rich malt and a hint of biscuit. Flavor is similarly vinous and malty upfront with a spicy bitterness toward the middle and finish. Lots of nice fruity notes throughout, as well as some clovish mystery spices and yeastiness. Lean body with a smooth mouthfeel.
A solid ale. Nothing really jumps out at me apart from the nice balance between its various flavors. A highly enjoyable sipping brew.
