A - pours a deep and festive ruby red. Two fingers worth of light tan foam dissipates slowly showing great retention. Gobs of lacing cling to the glass.
S - the nose is very festive with notes of fruit and spice. Notes of baked apples and cinnamon spring from the glass. Hints of ripe banana peel and medicinal cherry. A sprinkle of clove and a pinch of black pepper.
T - doughy malt and hints of granulated sugar up front. Light peppery spice swells up soon after. Sweet baked apples and apple pie filling in the center. Hints of cherries and with just a tinge of alcohol. Finish is soft and sweet with just a touch of cinnamon spice.
M - medium bodied with a smooth texture. High carbonation.
O - a sweet winter warmer. Does get sweeter as the bottle goes on but lots of complexity to this one.
