Almost a mahogany color with a nice but thin head. Smoooth looking. Taste is subdued, malty, slightly toasty with a little spice in there. Alcohol warms for sure. Perhaps a touch of raisins. It is much milder than I expected. We served with Scotch ale onion soup from The Beer Bistro cook book (amazing cook book) from Toronto.
OVerall, my least favorite of the delirium i've had, but certainly went well with a meal.
