The beer pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head, no lacing. the beers smells like an apple pancake. The taste mingle from martinellis cider to the sweet sour green jollyrancher. all and all it's not very pleasant. Other than the taste the beer is easy to swallow, no to thin, nice and fizzy. probably not returning to this one.

A: The beer is slightly hazy pale light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a small collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of apples are present in the nose—these mostly seem like apple juice and not like the apple Jolly Rancher aromas I've seen in other fruit lambics.
T: The taste is similar to the smell except that it has a light amount of sweetness along with faint bits of sourness.
M: It feels light-bodied (but not watery) on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is rather pleasant to drink and the apple aromas and flavors don't seem to be artificial.

Bottle: decent 330mL brown bottle, bright and traditional Belgian farmhouse-style label.

Appearance: cloudy bright yellow straw in colour with initial fizzy carbonation that drops back to sporadic fine bubbles. A half-centimetre head disappears reasonably quickly, leaving a ring around the glass. Decent lacing.

Aroma: really quite pleasant - a combination of sweet apples and malts.

Taste: this stuff is fantastic, if a little too sweet for my palate. Again those sweet apple flavours come through, but this time there is a tartness as well. Some wheat and mouth-filling malts hang about too. Fantastic.

Aftertaste: the wheat and malts carry through better than the apple, funnily enough. There is a pinch of sourness in the back though. Overall, very nice and extremely drinkable.

Mouth feel: moderate body which is quite smooth and filling. Lower to moderate carbonation, which suits this lambic perfectly.

Overall: this is only the third lambic I have had to date. The other 2 I found to be a bit of an acquired taste as they were so different and so sour. This one has a good combination of sweet, sour, tart and a malt-driven smoothness. Very nice, even at AU$95 a case (2013).

Presentation: 11.2 oz. brown bottle served in a stemless, oversized wine glass.

Appearance: Thin 1/2 finger head that fizzles out into a thin ring that stays 'till the end, and it leaves some great lacing. It's a cloudy, bright yellow color.

Smell: It has a simple, very sweet and pleasant smell. A mix of malt with red and green apples.

Taste: The sweet and sour taste is great and something that's not found in any other brew. The sour of the green apples dominate, but it's balanced nicely by a red apple and malt sweetness in the background.

Mouthfeel: Creamy and medium bodied with very little carbonation. It's light and very easy to drink.

Overall: Despite the sweetness on the nose and palate, everything feels nicely balanced, surprisingly. This beer is not cloying at all and doesn't have that candy flavor that turns away a lot of people from these types of fruit beers. It's great, very simple and refreshing. Proof that a good beer is not just about having a thousand flavors crammed into a bottle.

330ml bottle purchased on sale. Poured into snifter.

A: Pours a very cloudy lemon color with a finger of dense and frothy egg-shell white head that faded into a lasting film.
S: Huge notes of green apples on the nose mixed with Belgian yeast and wheat. Apples smell candy-like and lightly sour.
T: More sugar apple candy taste. I get faint notes of butterscotch, cinnamon, spiced apple, wheat, and spicy Belgian yeast as well. I find this beer more sugary and sweet than tart or sour. There is just a hint of tartness in the aftertaste though.
M: Very smooth full body with a syrupy mouthfeel over soft carbonation. Actually pretty sippable.
O: Pretty similar to cider, and unlike the greats of the style. Not bad for a buck or two, but not something I’d drink often.
