Pours a cloudy piss yellow color with a ton of sediment floating around, and it had a 1 finger foamy snow white head that faded about average time, leaving good spotty lacing.

Smells of orange peel, coriander, lemon, citrus hops, spices, pine sol, grass, wheat and some good old funky yeast; smells like a nice summer day in a citrus grove.

Tastes of orange peel, coriander, lemon, citrus hops, spices, pine cone, piney hops, grass, hay, wheat, light caramel, toasted grains, sour apple and some funky yeast; a refreshing citrus flavor dominates the palate and mutes the grains and malt, leaving a bitter funky finish that was almost dry.

Mouthfeel is light, crisp and zesty, with light carbonation, a watery feel and a light body. If you like orange peel, coriander and citrus then you'll love this beer; pretty high drinkability, this was a very light and enjoyable.

On Tap at TJ's Everyday.

A- Kira Wit holds a dark yellow/light golden color with a skim of white loose foam on the top, fades quick leaving no lace.

S- A typical witte with citrus scent including lemon, orange peel and spice such as clove. Some earthy hops are there but light.

T- A well balanced witte with the above mentioned ingredients, I seem to be getting more orange peel but the lemon flavor is nice as well. The yeast also makes headway as well as clove, the hops keep everything in perspective.

M- Light bodied with a bit of carb felt under the tounge. Goes down smooth and almost to easy with some spice and yeast in the aftertaste.

D- Again, almost to easy to drink, Im glad the abv is low as I would be on the ground by now. Finished this pint in no time, could not drink a few because this style of beer gets boring after a while. Great for summer.

A: The beer is cloudy light yellow in color and poured with a thin, bright white head that left wispy patterns of bubbles on the surface.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of lemons in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste is very citrusy and has flavors of lemons. No spices are perceptible.
M: IT feels light-bodied and clean on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
D: The beer is very easy to drink, refreshing and thirst quenching.

Pours a pale straw yellow with a thin white head that disappears rather quickly. Fortunately, the appearance is this beer's only weak spot. The aroma is strong, crisp and malty with fruity and spicy hints. Flavor is malty and crisp with hints of fruit, citrus and cloves. Texture is tingly and a little rough.

A friend gave me this beer. I'm not sure where he got it or when? He does a bit of shopping in ATL, so I bet he got it from a shop there.

Pours hazy golden light with nearly no head. I smells normal. I really dig the flavors in this beer. It's like a bland watered down pear with coriander and lemon flavors lingering. I read there is orange peel in this beer, but my tastes aren't that sweet.

Medium carbonation and a nice not so syrupy aftertaste make this beer a fun drink.

I actually really enjoyed this, considering that Witbier is typically not my style of choice. Pours a hazy light yellow color typical of witbiers, but maybe with a little less head than expected. Smell is pretty good, some wheaty notes along with nice fruity citrus and yeast notes. Taste is pretty good, typical of witbier, but with a nice smoke note from the yeast, along with some citrus, banana, and clove. Tasty. MF was medium bodied, I could use a bit more carbonation to up the pillowy feel for this one, but that's all. A good drinking beer, I really enjoyed it.

Transcribed from undated notes.

This was served to me with easily two fingers' worth of creamy, bone-white head atop a softly cloudy lemon-yellow beer. Nose was faintly banana-ish overlain with a definite yeast-driven mustiness. The mouthfeel was light and creamy with a muted banana custard/pudding taste on the tongue. Finish was yeasty-musty with an underlying banana sweetness. It was very mellow and made a nice accompaniment to a late breakfast/early lunch (1140), but I prefer something stronger. Oh, Garcon ...!

Kira, Belgian wit, 1/3l

A Cloudy, typical wit. Big head to start, but faded quick, ended with no head at all, no lacing. I am not entirely sure that this wasn't fault of the glass, will have to try another.

S Citrusy, estery, very clean and fresh for a beer that travelled from Belgium.

T You can taste the coriander and orange essence. Nice citrus flavor crisp clean very smooth.

M Medium body, slightly thick on the tongue, crisp is the best description.

O This is one of the better wits I have had in a while. Super clean and vey refreshing. Definitely recommend.

A - light golden and fairly clear for a witbier. Wispy head with ring of bubbles around glass

S - Pilsner malt aroma up front followed by perfumy bubblegum fruity aromas. Sweet vanilla is in there as well. Spicy notes as well.

T - very light, almost watered down in flavor. Nice flavor, but surprisingly weak. Not overwhelmingly citrusy. Yeast byproducts dominate. Very thirst quenchable.

M - very light. carbonation playful, but not too powerfully effervescent.

D - easy to drink. Maybe a little boring compared to other Wit beers. Lawnmower beer.

Pours a hazy golden yellow/ripe banana color with a 2 finger frothy white head with great retention that very slowly fades into a lasting cap, leaving solid chunks of soapy lacing throughout the glass.

Very yeasty/bready aroma with a lot of citrus fruit and peppery spiciness. Ripe banana, lemon peel and bread notes accompanied by peppery lemon zest and coriander.

Flavor is very similar to the aroma with a nice full body, especially for the style. Strong bread and yeast presence with a lot of crisp citrus notes; lemon peel and ripe banana balanced out by a peppery spiciness with lots of lemon zest, corriander and subtle hops.

This beer is extremely drinkable with no trace of alcohol and is very refreshing, especially in the warmer months. Highly recommended exmple of the style.

A-golden yellow, cloudy but not dense. Foam is light and airy, wsticking to the glass all the way down.
S- citrusy on the nose, crisp.
T- Lemony, with aromatic spices like coriander and other citrus oils on the finish. A nice representation of its style.
M- Crisp, pleasant and not too heavy.
D - Very good - alcohol is not a strong presence; I haven't looked up the ABV, but I suspect it is probably higher than it tastes.

Reviewed on 10/3/08. On tap at Ginger Man. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, dough, and light tropical fruits. Flavor of light sour fruits, tropical fruits (mango) with a hint of tartness, as well as doughy bread. Light and tasty. Very enjoyable and refreshing.

Wow, I was surprised to see this only has this many reviews - I've seen it on-tap at the Brick Store for some time now and that's where I tasted it.

Pours a cloudy lemon yellow color with a one-finger white head. The head dissipates pretty quickly into a wispy layer of bubbles and a medium-sized ring around the glass. Lacing is decent.

Smells of light fruits with a bit of malt character coming through. Bananas with light lemon scents and the tiniest amount of a malt backbone.

Tastes similar to how it smells. Lots of banana flavors with light lemon tartness and a clean finish.

The mouthfeel is very light. It doesn't have a whole lot of body but I think that's actually working toward what it's trying to achieve. Active carbonation mellows out near the end of the beer.

Drinkability is very good. The flavors are clean and this goes down very easily.

Overall this is a very easy-drinking beer. It's not the most drinkable but I think it rivals the best for sessionability. I'm quite certain I made up a word but I think it works. Give this one a try if you see it around.
