App: Peachy in color with golden hues striking it around, a good head, with a good retention and lace.
Smell was reminding me more of an EPA than an APA, it was well balanced in between malt, caramel presence and hops but there was a very present smell of froment in there tickling and teasing my nose.
Taste was well balanced, floral, caramelish, rounded in mouth, reminded me more of an english pale ale than the american version because too balanced and shy.

Colour: sun burnt orange with nice thick head which dissipates quickly.
smell is subtle, hoppy, and fresh florals. some citrus of orange and lemon
The taste at first is nice and bitter; followed by what I like to call 'happy hops' (good hops and lots of it) there are some deep and underlying floral notes and some sweet orange. Not sure if I'm off but also a bit of fresh cut grass and maybe a dash of ginger?
Overall; a good refreshing one for a sunny Saturday afternoon!

Pours straw yellow with light head and good lacing. Aroma slightly sweet with a hint of grapefruit. In the mouth the bitterness is reminiscent of grapefruit rind with some honeyish sweetness and pepper.

La Corte Real is murky with a blistering orange colour, making it both cloudy and sun-kissed. The little flakes of yeast sediment may be indicative of a lack of freshness or, judging by the over-eager carbonation, perhaps it's a bottle-conditioning issue; foam climbs until it's higher than the glass itself.
The aroma - or lack thereof - gives further reason to suspect something's not quite as it should be. Considering the label boasts of many features of Centennial hops it's odd not to find any in the bouquet (though I'm tempted to believe they're stuck and suffocating under that giant mattress of a head).
The taste is only minimally more hoppy. Breezy florals and leafy, 'green' herbal notes make cameo appearances but certainly don't steal the show. In fact, this production has no star; maltiness is plain and suggests cheap grain was used in the recipe. Regardless, La Corte Real simply isn't that flavourful.
More concerning, however, is that this pale ale has a certain 'homebrew' quality to it. Each sip includes an undesirable warming, prickling sensation in the mouth and throat. Some sips can taste reminiscent of wet bread crumbs and the finish combines canned pineapple juice with raw pine bark. Not great.
While there's no real infection, and although my scores are far from those of others, I've got to believe its brewer would not be thrilled with this bottle of La Corte Real. Then again, it was shipped out and allowed to be sold. And at more than $5 for the 500ml I won't be rolling the dice again.

Got on trade from Curtis. Thx Curtis! Served at 4deg C in a draught glass.
A- 3.5- Opens well and pours a tiny head that is gone fast. Filtered clear and medium gold
S- 3.5- Ok hops here. Good malt back bone
T- 3.75- Nice blend. Nothing overpowers which is a good sign of a good brewer. Light
M- 3.75- Nice and dry. Good aftertaste on the hops. Malt kicks in at the end
O- 3.66- This is what I wish I could give the beer. Nice refreshing but limited.
Food Pairing
This nice light pale ale went well with...... Roasted Turkey with the fixings
Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Beer is an attractive gauzy golden color. Not much head, but some nice lacing. Aroma is some light bread, biscuits, and yeast, along with some faint lemon/orange hops. Taste is straightforward. Light but solid malt up front, with a crisp, dry finish with some orangey/hoppy notes. Mouthfeel is fine. Overall, a good, but not great APA. Crisp and refreshing and very drinkable, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

500ml Bottle from Marche Omni QC for 5$ - listed as 5.6% - brewed in August
Appearance - Clear copper colour with an average size fizzy beige coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation and there is some faint lacing. The head lasted for around 4-5 minutes.
Smell - Malts, caramel, grassy hops
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste hops, malts, grass, and caramel/toffee. There is also some candied grapefruit and a sugary sweetness. There is something slightly astringent and a pretty hoppy aftertaste.
Overall - Probably shouldn't be listed as an American Pale ale.. It's more of an English version if anything. I definitely expected more from this one based on previous reviews, it tastes a little bit like a home brew ESB.
