While I certainly do like it in the can, for reviewing purposes I poured it into a tulip glass.
Golden in color with a considerable amount of haze that never cleared up as the beer itself warmed up. Poured with a nice respectable frothy white head that eventually reduced to a residual lacing around the empty glass.
Aroma is spicy with hints of grass and hay.
This beer is light bodied with a mostly neutral yet spicy aspect of the bitterness that ended abruptly after each swallow.
Grass and hay like with a slightly warming taste that includes an astringent note on the finish.
Overall it is an easy drinking tasty pale ale. Good beer in a can is a great thing.

Pours hazed golden with a nice white head that thins. Lacing sticks.
The smell is of robust citrus with some pine, hint of floral notes. Some bready/pale male mixes in.
The big citric notes stay just ahead of the biscuity malt and bready notes. Most of the bready notes are from the firm malt backing, some have a yeast character. The combination works well, though. Finishes with a bitter bite.
It is smooth despite the raw bite in the finish.
This is an enjoyable, hop-forward American Pale Ale. I'm glad a bartender at a local pub brought two pint-sized cans back from his trip to Chicago for me!
