Thanks to Masterski for this one.

Poured from a pint can.

Appearance: A pale yellow body with a very thick yet balanced head and thick clinging on the glass.

Smell: Sticky hops, touch of honey, piney but not bitter and real lush fruit.

Taste: Sweet hops, pine cones, caramel, citrus rinds and a good dose of fruit but the fullness of flavor is a bit lacking.

Mouthfeel: Very clean, not much bitterness, smooth but lasting presence is short.

Overall: Good but still disappointed as i was hoping for more.

Appearance & Aroma: When I poured it in a glass, it was dark golden in color with some orange hues, and slightly hazy. It had a big foamy head on it, which stuck around for a bit and left some very nice lacing on the glass as I drank it. There was a nice, big grapefruit aroma with some resiny and piney notes.

Taste & Feel: The body was light-medium and the mouthfeel was smooth with a bit of crispness on the end of each sip from the hops. There was a quick moment where I tasted a honey-like maltiness, but it was a very quick moment before the hop bitterness and flavors took over. The bitterness took hold in the middle, opening up the finish, which was a big grapefruit hop flavor with some resiny hops in the background. The grapefruit hop flavors stuck around for quite a bit in the aftertaste.

Overall Impression: When I opened this beer, I was immediately struck by the foamy head and the big hop aroma. The flavors followed the nose, as it had plenty of citrusy, grapefruit-like hop flavors. I'd consider this a very hoppy pale ale, and not considered an IPA only because of its lower ABV. Even though it was quite hoppy, it was drinkable and refreshing out on the golf course. Overall, I thought it was a very good beer, but I'd need to be in the mood for something fairly hoppy (which I often am!).

A- Pours a pale amber color with a thick, frothy light tan head. Some sticky lacing around the edges.

S- Huge blast of piney hops with some citrus notes as well.

T- Hops come through right away with the hop bitterness dominating the taste. A pale malt presence balances the beer out.

M- Full bodied with a very sticky mouthfeel.

O- Closer to an IPA in almost every way. Very hop forward and extremely tasty.

Had this on 2012-07-23 in Columbia, PA from the Station Taproom.

A - Mildly hazy, sunset orange with a 1/2-finger white head and decent lacing.

S - Orange flesh, mild dank and hop floral. Not real strong.

T - Grassy, citrus flesh, pith and zest, bread, mild caramel and mild and balanced sweetness. Finishes quite dry and with plenty of tart lingering bitterness.

M - Light body and medium carbonation. Crisp and refreshing.

O - It was nice to revisit this brew today. It really tweaks the taste buds for a lowish ABV brew. I like the grassy, bright citrus flavor and dry bitter finish.

On tap at Misconduct in Philly on 7/17/12. Served in a shaker pint.

Pour: slightly hazy orange with two finger fluffy white head. Best lacing I've seen this year.

Smell: grapefruit to the max. This is a super juicy smelling beer.

Taste: not as fruity as I was going based on the nose. Much more make in the front, lots of honey and caramel. Grapefruit begins to show. Little but of pine but not much.

Mouthfeel: flavorful but a little watery. Carbonation is really nice

Overall: good beer but I guess I was expecting zombie dust esque. Great session beer IMO. Will definitely get most times I am in Chicago

473ml can poured into tulip 16/7/12 thanks Masterski and Sean9689 for the can

A golden amber with a heavy haze of tiny suspended particles, large soapy head falls rather quickly leaving some spider web lacing

S floral honey and lots of tropical notes, with some mango, guava, passion fruit, and some citrus and some caramel malt creating some balance, smells terrific

T a little rind I didn't smell, more floral and caramel notes, but less of the tropical aspect I was loving, still very solid but a small step back from the nose

M full for the color, just enough carbonation too keep it from feeling flat, and a lingering floral rind aftertaste

O great pale ale here, very well rounded with a great nose, it could use a few more bubbles but its a minor complaint. This is another example of .25 increments being useful

I could drink a few of these without getting board, wonderful session beer from a can that I wish I could get in my part of the world

A personal favorite of mine, either from the can or on-tap. Cloudy pale appearance, with a relatively mild but inviting smell. The taste combines multiple strong hops with its signature floral bite. Despite the relatively the strong bitterness, the mouthfeel is extremely smooth and mild, leaving the drinker with a smooth, balanced, palette-cleansing experience.
