Pours a hazy light orange. Nice pillowy one finger head forms. TONS of lacing.

Smells like a nickel bag of some grass. As it warms up, citrus notes start to dominate the smell, primarily tangerine and mango notes. Love letting it warm up a bit to let the beer relax, great progression of aromas!

Starts off with a sweet tropical tangerine on the tip of the tongue, then moves into a juicy slightly bitter flowery taste, herbal, earthy. Finishes with a sweet orange aftertaste, hop oils are coating my mouth, really delicious stuff!

Overall this is an oustanding pale ale, and reminds me a lot of a subdued Heady Topper. At 5.2%, none of the alcohol even enters your mind, really well balanced. Cheers Half Acre, you hit this one out of the ball park!

Poured into a pint glass.

A: Pours a slightly chill-hazed gold with 1-2 fingers of creamy white head. Low carbonation and a nice thick clouds of lacing.

N: Tangerine, mango, navel orange, lemon and a light caramel maltiness. Hints of pineapple and papaya.

T: Tangerine, pineapple and mango are upfront. This is followed by clean sugary caramel, navel orange juice, papaya and lemon juice. Finishes with grapefruit pith and a hint of pine. Slightly drying with zests from grapefruit, lemon and orange.

M: Light-medium bodied, juicy, crisp, clean and dry.

O: Incredibly balanced, easy drinking and full of juicy hops. Tons of tropical and citrus fruitiness going on. This is easily one of, in not, THE BEST American Pale Ale I've ever had the pleasure of trying.

While I certainly do like it in the can, for reviewing purposes I poured it into a tulip glass.

Golden in color with a considerable amount of haze that never cleared up as the beer itself warmed up. Poured with a nice respectable frothy white head that eventually reduced to a residual lacing around the empty glass.

Aroma is spicy with hints of grass and hay.
This beer is light bodied with a mostly neutral yet spicy aspect of the bitterness that ended abruptly after each swallow.

Grass and hay like with a slightly warming taste that includes an astringent note on the finish.

Overall it is an easy drinking tasty pale ale. Good beer in a can is a great thing.

This is a great pale ale. Nice and hoppy and refreshing. I love the dank, grassy notes. It is crisp and refreshing and makes me think of cutting the grass.

It's a bit hoppy for a pale ale, but the body is just right. It is dry, crisp and refreshing. It's a great beer to drink while firing up the grill.

If only I lived closer to Chicago, this would be my everyday beer.
