IrishColonial, you, sir, are a true gentleman. Poured into a British pint...

A: Cloudy, light golden straw color with a crisp quarter finger white head. The head is fairly bubbly and provides a nice sheen atop the brew. Pretty good lacing down the sides. Fairly light colored. Ho hum.

S: Pine, citrus, candied orange, and just a hint of grassy stank on the back end. Not a hop bomb in the least, but has a pleasing, light, floral nose. I'm digging it.

T: Alright, well it's a lot more bitter and soapy than I expected. A bit of sweet citrus up front but then it u-turns into bitter, herbal, piny, grassy. The malt bill isn't quite as flavorful or complex as I would have hoped, and doesn't provide much for these hop flavors to run up against. For as much flavor as is here, the finish is shockingly muted...just when you feel you're about to ride the bitter pine wave for a few seconds, it just completely falls off. I actually consider it quite an achievement, seeing as this is an APA. Not bad.

M: It's a little heavy on the carbonation and I think the bitterness is a bit aggressive. The finish is noteworthy though, not cloying or sticky in the least. Nice and crisp.

O: Because it's an APA, I'm giving the Daisy Cutter the bump up here. There are better examples (Zombie Dust, DC Brau Public, Troegs Perpetual), but that doesn't mean that Daisy Cutter isn't a fine entry. An enjoyable APA with a surprising amount of flavor for such a low ABV beer.

Pours hazy golden yellow with a dense white head that leaves sheets of sticky lacing as it dissipates.

Aroma is Lemony with a crisp bitterness. Hops have a floral quality.

Taste is dominated by lemon grass with an intense citrus-floral hop that really shines up front. Then the bready malt starts to assert itself along with a pleasant grapefruit bitterness. Finishes with a lingering floral character.

Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied.

A very flavorful beer; especially when considering that it is only 5.2%. Strongly dry hopped. A fantastic session beer that would go great with seafood. Very nice.

Thanks to N. Ketchum for the opportunity to give this one a try.

Poured out of a 16 oz can into a snifter.

A) A lighter amber that is quite hazy. A fairly aggressive pour provided a foamy 2 finger head. Nice head retention, left a dusting with some sticky lacing.

S) Mostly white grapefruit with a little bit of a floral aroma. Really wasn't a sweet smell. A little bit of bread or white rice aroma.

T) Tastes a tad piney, but really mostly grapefruit. It was like I was having grapefruit for breakfast but I was all out of sugar.

M) A light to medium/light body, with a fair amount of carbonation. It's pretty crisp. There is a citrus zest to the finish, and the aftertaste is white grapefruit.

O) I found this pretty refreshing. It wouldn't be my first choice on a cold winter day in Wisconsin. Having said that, the fairly low ABV and refreshing qualities would make it a pretty easy drinker while hitting the links in the summer. This was pretty good...

Poured from a can into a standard pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy golden/amber with over a finger of fluffy white head. There is some great retention and nice lacing from this one.

Smell: Sweet malt, just a bit toasty. There is some wonderful citrus hop aroma here too. Great balance.

Taste: The hops are the dominant flavor here. Citrus peel bitterness is the main flavor, but there is plenty of bready malt here to balance things out. Really good beer.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with fluffy carbonation and a slightly dry finish.

Overall: This is and has been one of my favorites. I always get some when I'm near Chicago.

Pours a clear gold/peach with a small head. Everything was tasting weird yesterday, all the aromas were strange. This one was like dipping your face into a fresh bag of weed. Really juicy, resinous, thick and it was kind of alluring like that. Some softer citrus. Mouth is more marijuana ho resin and a long finish of pine bitterness. Pretty one dimensional on the flavor. Aside from the juicy marijuana nose on this it's pretty uninteresting.

Had this again today to make sure something wasn't wrong with my palate, it's just not a great beer. Flavor profile is flat and singular, without much attempt at balance or a journey of flavors along the palate.

Undated pint can poured into a flute at ~4C. Received in US/CAN BIF via funkyaudio, Thanks.

Pours a hint darker than straw yellow with a 1.5 finger head, that laces well. A really enjoyable nose, with light fruity and citrus hop aromas with malty biscuit and sweet bread notes underneath it all. The body of the beer has an enjoyable light fruity happiness with only a hint of bitterness that builds over time. Earthy notes play through later. The mouthfeel is surprisingly thin and watery at first, the only downfall of this beer really. Overall, a nice drinkable beer I am glad I got two of, worth seeking out as an easy drinker.
