Been waiting a while for this one. Hard to get, even living in Chicago! Missed out on the growler fills at the tap room, so this one is from a 22oz bottle, 4 days fresh, $9.99. Poured into a Hop Leaf Tulip glass.
Appearance: Copper/amber, deep and clear. 2 fingers off-white cream head. Good retention and lacing. Can't ask for a lot more.
Smell: As good as it gets. Exploding with citrus. Orange, mango, lemon, pine, a touch of pineapple. Floral and grassy as well.
Taste: Honestly, a bit of a letdown after that amazing nose. I've heard this is a completely different beer from Daisy Cutter, but if you can't taste the original in this, you haven't drank enough Daisy Cutter. Heavy on the bittering hops, but not much hop flavor, sweetness, or malt. No alcohol at all though, and quite easy drinking.
Mouthfeel: Moderate to high carbonation. Smooth and medium-full body. Dry on the finish.
Overall: This is better than Daisy Cutter, which is quite good to start. Really easy drinking and quite tasty. For bitter, dry beer lovers, this is a nice treat. However, for $10, I think I'd get a 4-pack of Daisy Cutter pints before buying this bomber again. Now a $20 growler fill of this stuff? Completely different story.

On tap at Eataly - Chicago, IL
L - amber in color, huge rocky ivory head leaves some lacing on the glass
S - awesome nose, tropical, honey, caramel, floral hop, refreshing
T - bold and fairly balanced with tropical fruit, mango, grapefruit, toasty, nutty grain, pine, fruit, floral hop, caramel
F - medium body, alcohol is noticeable but warming, finishes dry with lingering piny, grapefruity bitterness and a little bit of residual sweetness
O - really solid DIPA! Love how the high dose of toasty grain complements the bitterness.

A: Pours a hazy dark orange color with one inch of white head. Nice lacing that sticks to the glass.
S: Big bready aroma with citrus pine with some strawberry and candied fruits. Some floral notes as well, appealing aroma but doesn't punch you in the face.
T: Big bready hit on the front end as well. Then on the back end has a bitterness that lingers with strawberry, orange, grapefruit and some mild pine.
M: Medium chewy body with sturdy carbonation. Semi harsh bitterness and nice and dry on the finish. Nicely attenuated.
O: Overall I really enjoyed this beer and love the dry finish. Was hoping for more and find it to be a little over-hyped in my opinion but not bad. I would drink again but not fight to get it as well.
