Woo hoo! Heard many great things about this beer and "Oh boy!" are they true! The pour is quite reminiscent of a homebrew. Absolute cloudiness with less than stellar head. Murky apricot color and meringe colored head without the retention. Orange, tangerine, apricot, citrus rind, and the flavors go on. Palate is just like a story. Starts with a resiny fruit and herbal beginning and finishes dry and pale. One wee problem: a tad too boozy. The drinkability is the problem here. I just can't see myself sessioning this beer, let alone a pint of this stuff. Pour me a tulip and goodnight sunshine! Lots of potential here. I love what Half Acre is trying here and no doubt will this beer get perfected much more. Grab this one fresh for sure and enjoy! What a great offering and way to go Chicago!
