Picked up a few bottles at Half Acre, reviewing the first. Bomber poured into Spiegelau glass.
A: Pours a light golden in color with 1 finger of bright white head that reduces fairly quickly and leaves a fair amount of lacing.
S: This smells little like and IPA, and more like a pils. There's very slight hop aroma, some honey crispness, and pilsner maltiness.
T: This is sweet up front, and slightly dry in the back. There's not much citrus to speak of, nor pine. I mostly get malt.
M: Crisp and very refreshing. Good level of carb, very easy drinker.
O: If I were given this in a blind taste test, I wouldn't even get the style right. I'm very surprised by this, especially after their last collab I had, Anicca, was probably my favorite beer of 2013. Purchased at Half Acre 2/28, reviewed 3/6.
