Had this on-tap at Churchkey during the Craft Beer Conference 2013.
A: Poured out pretty much black as night, with somewhat of a thick consistency, yet still fairly light looking overall. Slight head, but nothing too foamy.
S: Definitely hints of cocoa and some toasted grains. That's about it.
T: Ha! This brew resembles Coca-Cola more than any I've ever tasted. My wife and I both sample this at the same time and said that exact same thing! Yep, Coke is it (80s pun intended) along with some subtle hints of cocoa.
M: Grainy, almost the same texture I get when I sample many Black IPA. Still, that was a nice, memorable characteristic, along with the smooth cocoa finish which was fun.
O: I see a collaboration with the a carbonated beverage company in Half Acre's future. At the very least, I'd love for them to brew a root beer sometime.
Serving type: on-tap
