Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a snifter.
The pour is a hazy, faded caramel color with orange edges and a frothy white cap. The head fades to a film and leaves a few spots of spotty lace down the sides of the glass.
The aroma has some light grapefruit and firm pine hoppiness to go along with a smooth caramel breadiness. The flavor starts sweet with a honey caramel toasted bread flavor, but dries out quickly and moves to a spicy pine hoppiness. There is not a ton of complexity with this beer. It drinks on the fuller side of medium, with
For some reason Half Acre is starting to churn out routine tasting limited releases, and I am starting to get tired of it.

9 hours in a car yesterday to and from Chicago, too much money spent, and this is the first beer from the trip that I'm going to enjoy. Snagged a howler at Half Acre, pouring into a Spiegelau glass.
A: Pours a crystal clear dark golden color with a slight copper tone. About 2 fingers of white foamy head that reduces slow, and leaves a fair amount of lacing.
S: Not a bomb, but a very well balanced citrus and spice combo. Some lingering sweetness in the background.
T: Nothing really takes lead on the flavor. I get citrus, I get spices and pine, and malty base, but not a single flavor pops. It seems to favor citrus at first, and as it warms up a but it seems to favor pine.
M: Sweet and smooth! Goes down fairly sweet, not much bitterness to speak of. My only complaint about this is it does feel a bit thin.
O: Very solid offering from Half Acre, glad I was able to try it. When I was there, it wasn't available in the Tap Room, just the shop next door. One of my favorite IPAs from Chicago to date, would love to see this available in cans!

Just got back from Half Acre Brew with a large haul but had to crack open the Space growler immediately. At first taste at the store I thought it was eerily similar to 3F Zombie Dust, apparently this is the re-branded Daly Double of which I had not had before. If you like/love ZD you will like/love this beer, but a clone it is not.
A Hazy light amber with a tiny cream head
S A very light aroma of citra hops and hay
T Rich and malty, but dominated by the intense hopping. Definatly Citra dry hopped with another smoky scorched pallet hop
M Rich and creamy followed by biting hops and a nice medium carbonation
O Great beer Overall smokier and more complex than most APAs easy drinking, this growler will not make through the night.
