Notes/Commercial Description:
Formerly know as Daly Double.

The Daly Double, an India Pale Ale brewed in memoriam of a friend of Half Acre Beer Co. Terry Daly passed away suddenly after spending a lot of time at our brewery over the last few years. Terry was a fan of music, geometry, his two Huskies, Moon & Luna, and amply hopped craft beer. We’re pretty sure that Terry was the foremost consumer of Daisy Cutter Pale Ale.

People are the larger body that is the meat of our brewing company. Not the tanks or the beers, but the heart of what we do. The Daly Double is for Terry and all the other folks that give breweries life. To Terry, Huzzah!

i liked space better than their other, lighter, more tropical ipa. this one is pretty awesome, with some red color to it and quite a bit more body than the other one. the head is tall and just off white, sticking high to the sides of the glass. citra hops or some similar varietal seem do be the dominant hop in this one, fruity and a little tangy and really forward. the malt is a little sweet for me in the taste, my only real critique, but i like what it adds in terms of depth and body, and its not like so many over balanced hoppy beers, its dosed correctly. i get a little more hop aromatic than flavor in this, suggesting a heavy dry hop. citrus is there, but its more mellow than juicy i think, and maybe thats do do with the sweetness of the malt. yeast is nondescript, and the beer finishes dry enough despite the front and middle. mellower carbonation than some of the other half acre brews, but it slows it down i think and suits it well. excellent beer, i think perhaps a tad bit inflated on the ratings, but really well done on the whole. drinkable for miles, even at 7% abv.
