Iron Brass, our take on a Belgian Tripel. Brewed with Westmalle Belgian yeast, this 10.5% golden beauty is available now, on tap and in growlers.

Wow. I was blown away by Iron Brass, released. Served very cold in a 20oz imperial pint glass. Iron Brass has that normal Belgian tripel clove/fruity/bubblegum aroma, which doesn’t explode out of the glass (which I attribute to the beer being very cold), but is easy to detect. Smells just great. Has a beautiful golden hazy appreance; the guy next to me wanted to try some just because it looked so beautiful. Absolutely outstanding taste and palate: no trace of alcohol (VERY DANGEROUS for a beer this strong), thick but not cloying mouthfeel. Taste is rich malt, spices, a very satisfying light fruitiness that reminded me of apples, bananas, pears.
I’ll go crazy and say this is the best beer I’ve ever had from Half Acre, and I’m the guy who loves the lager and porters/stouts. They said they made 30 barrels, I intend on drinking a barrel by myself during the next few weeks. Really glad to see my hometown heros make something other than another pale ale/IPA featuring a hop. Iron Brass shows how talented this brewery really is, though I heard this beer was actually a mistake that worked out...which makes it even more impressive.

Growler into Hopleaf Tulip
A: All beer is beautiful
S: Traditional tripel smells here. Plums and apples.
T: Full of fruit. Dark fruit, tropical fruit, its all a delicious mix of goodness. Hint of spice to keep the fruit balanced.
M: Again if you've had a tripel before, this is will be everything you've come to expect. Medium to heavy, very smooth carbonation, little to no perceivable alcohol.
O: My friend filled his growler with this one, I opted for Space instead and now I'm kicking myself for it. (space is great too though) Without a doubt, the best American Tripel I've ever had. At 10.5% it has the strength of a quad, but the flavor is all tripel. If you have the chance, GET THIS.
