Stopped by this wine and spirits shop while on a trip to Denver from my town in Colorado. I needed to use their ATM but it gave me some error message and ripped me off 80$. The owner was notified and he made a phone call to them right away. He gave me a 10$ gift card for the hassle of the whole deal. This goes a long way in my book. I would have been happy with the phone call alone. Anyhow, to the beer. They have a decent selection of local and non-local brews. The real gem is in the cooler. The shelves are filled with bombers after bombers and I even came across some Eclipse. Did I mention that they had just received a batch of Pliny? Only 10 days old!! My fiancée and I both took one home, since it was 1 per customer which I can respect. If you are in search of a few rare beers I recommend this place. The staff is super friendly and I could see myself making this my one-stop shop when i'm in Denver.

Great store with a great reputation. Excellent selection of spirits and craft beer, and a great selection of imports. This store is definitely on the list for limited allocations, and they have a history of pulling in new and exciting things before anyone else in the area.

Easily the best beer shop in the Denver area. They are always sure to stock the latest and greatest brews, just remember that they may not always stick around for very long. Andre is extremely knowledgeable and will give you impressive recommendations for days. I've never been steered wrong. Prices can be a little higher here, but you'll find some great beer you can't get anywhere else, especially when it comes to imports

A-This store is medium-sized (for Colorado standards), clean, well-lit, well-organized, and friendly. You might not get the same, uh, neighborhood texture in Mile High that you get in Argonaut because Mile High is so solidly in the suburbs, but its a nice store. Bonus points for the store dog.
Q-Mile High scores well here with a great selection of high-quality local and import craft beers, as well as "shelf-craft" brews from around the country. The inventory rotates at a reasonable pace, which keeps the IPAs fresh.
Ser-The people at Mile High know their beers as well as anyone I have come across in Denver. They leave you alone if that is your preference, but they can also provide good recommendations if you're looking for help.
Sel-As noted above, they have a wide variety of Colorado craft, other American craft, and perhaps the highest quality, most diverse (although not the largest) selection of import craft beers. They really do a great job getting the one-off and rare releases from Colorado brewers. I have not perused their wine and spirit selection, but it looks sizable, too.
V-Prices here are in line with the rest of town. I have never found a screaming deal, but I have never felt ripped off.

A truly excellent store in an area where I'd say they're more or less unmatched.
Along the back wall there are a series of coolers with 6-packs and larger beer bundles. Nothing special here, but they clearly specialize in local beers and regional crafts.
However, where MH shines is their bomber area. While there are stores that are bigger, I don't think there's anyone who can match their selection of singles in the Denver area. Everything from German and central European imports (my Achilles heel) to sought-after Belgians, to local beers, to west coast regionals, to obscure imports I haven't seen anywhere else. They had a full 3 shelves dedicated to beers from New Zealand, which is pretty amazing when you think about it. They even have some exclusive beers that don't make it to other stores, which is a huge bonus.
In terms of service, their beer expert (Andre) can pretty much answer any question anyone will ever have as he's quite the beer geek himself. That's always a great thing, and I'm sure people seeking something new are in good hands. I had some wine questions and he was able to help me there, too. While not really a BA kind of thing, it's terrific to have a staff that knows their trade.
While not as big as some other stores, their bomber selection is as good as anyone's, and the store still covers nearly any base you might have.
Highly recommended and easily one of the top shops around.
