Great bottle shop in San Diego. The small market has an expansive craft section with all the big names you look for. Pricing was fair and the staff knows what they are talking about.

Sept 29, 2014 update - Baron's has enlarged their beer shelves as well as added a big cooler just for bombers. Many of the local breweries are covered in depth.

I struggled for years to find decent beer stores in San Diego so I was delightfully surprised to find this place. It's a cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods with a very nice beer selection in the far corner. For the spacious layout, great selection, and cleanliness, this beats most liquor stores.

Very good for San Diego area brews and other Calif micros. Lots of varieties of Port, Left Coast, Coronado, Green Flash, Ballast Point, Manzanita, Stone, Lagunitas. I like that they used to always have the Brown Shugga in season. The cold selection includes 22 ozs as well as sixes. In the last couple of years the selection keeps increasing, with more warm shelf space for oddities, but it's well chosen.

The wine section also looks more interesting than most. It's a great store for produce and a lot of other stuff so I generally plan a shopping trip when I go there for beer, or vice versa.
