I have struggled for years to find decent beer stores in San Diego so I was delightfully surprised to fine this place. It's a cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods with a very nice beer selection in the far corner. For the spacious layout, great selection, and cleanliness, this beats most liquour stores.
Very good for San Diego area brews and other Calif micros. Lots of varieties of Port, Left Coast, Coronado, Green Flash, Ballast Point, Manzanita, Stone, Lagunitas. I like that they used to always have the Brown Shugga in season. The cold selection includes 22 ozs as well as sixes. In the last couple of years the selection keeps increasing, with more warm shelf space for oddities, but it's well chosen.
The wine section also looks more interesting than most. It's a great store for produce and a lot of other stuff so I generally plan a shopping trip when I go there for beer, or vice versa.
