Poured from 12 oz brown bottle into a clear glass tulip. April and 28 are notched on the side of the label. Purchased at Craft Beer Cellar (Waterbury, VT).

A: Clear burnished amber with 1-finger of beige, quickly receding head that does not leave lace. (3.25)

S: Fairly fruity yeast esters with toasted caramel malt. This reminds me of an estery Irish Red Ale with the toasty malt character. Hops are not very prominent and mostly floral and earthy. (3.5)

T: Flavor is interesting and again carries from that Irish Ale with big yeast character in the aroma. The caramel maltiness is most prominent and get some fruit accents from the yeast with some orange and berry notes. The hops are mainly herbal, floral, and earthy with light bitterness. No alcohol character. (3.75)

M: A bit too thin with light body bordering on watery with moderate carbonation. (3.25)

O: A pretty middle of the road amber ale, but it has some interesting yeast flavors you don't get every day. Unique idea to take a twist on the Irish Red Ale style.

A: A deeper amber color. Very, very clear. Minimal head but pretty decent lacing.

S: Malts dominate the nose. Bready, caramel, and toast are adjectives that all come to mind.

T: Once again the malts are the forefront of the beer. I feel like the focus is more on the bready/toasty characteristics , which personally I like, and they avoided that generic overdone gummy caramel character that far to many ambers have. That being said there's a bit of caramel but its not overdone. No real hops to be found which is somewhat of a let done but it still does a good job focusing on the malt. Perhaps a touch of fruity esters. Bitterness is appropriate.

M: Fairly low carbonation which is nice and makes it easy drinking. The body medium.

O: A good beer. It would have been much nicer with some decent hop profile, even the typical cascade would have been nice. None the less a good transition beer and its pretty easy to drink a few.
