A light copper body low bitterness with good hop flavor. This is my impression of what the English troops may have been drinking when they occupied India. The pale ale they drank had mellowed considerably. The wooden casks had spent many months traveling on ships and long inland journeys to the troops, where they were then tapped and enjoyed.

It poured a brownish gold and maintained a good haziness in the body. There was a lot of carbonation and it took a good three minutes before the head dissipated. Bubbles formed around the head on the sides before the head dissipated. Once it settled a small mushroom cap of a head centered in the beer. The smell was the pine and the hops with some spices in the background. The taste was the hops with the spices in the background. Some bready malts came out in the taste along with a slightly sweet aftertaste. The palate was a light to medium and mainly drinkable, decently balanced. Overall, pretty good for the style, I’d have it again.

very hazy lots of foam on the head, appears heavily carbonated, leaves some lacing. nice light citrus and floral scent. taste is a bit odd in my opinion, also feels overcarbonated. overall a decent ipa, but there are definitely better options.

I was expecting this to suck but it come across like a mild mannered IPA with a tempered malt and a non-overpowering hop presence of light pine wood and citrus.

A: [3.25] The beer is a brownish orange color. My pour formed a lot of head 2-3 fingers. The head is white and comprised of irregular bubbles. The bottle lacks an ABV listing. I did find a born on data 02/02/2015 (so this is pretty old).

S: [4.00] Fruity, citrus, pine, pineapple, tropical fruit.

T: [3.00] The taste is way more muted than the nose. I am getting a lot of malt backbone and much less of the hoppiness from the nose. I am getting almost a salty taste in there.

M: [3.00] Pretty carbonated. Bitter drying on the tongue.

O: [3.25] The smell implies yummy tropical hop flavor. The mouthfeel feels like a high IBU dryness. None of that translates to the taste. It is muted and underwhelming. As noted this was on the shelf a long time and may have lost its edge. Frustratingly there is no ABV listing too. I won't drink this again.

Poured a murky light copper with about a finger of head. The nose was nicely hoppy and seemed to indicate that this would be a pretty hearty IPA. Unfortunately, it was neither hearty nor terribly flavorful. This seems to be an attempt at brewing an English IPA but it was not terribly malty and the heavy yeasty presence overwhelmed the hoppiness.

A good option when I want a break from the big ones. Happy to fill a growler with it when I see this go-to available.
