A golden hue and malty body thinned a bit by the 8% ABV. In the background is a light handed kettle addition of fresh sliced ginger root.

Got this one from BeerTruth. Thanks buddy.
Pours a very attractive deep golden color, like a sunrise in a glass, topped by about an inch and a half of near white head. Head retention is ok, as it keeps a thin lacce and leaves some stick.
Smell is also quite good, with a very assertive sweet aroma of belgian candi sugar, along with some yeast and spice. Also a good dose of booze.
Taste doesn't quite meet up with the nose, as it's decidedly less sweet and more spicy. Not a bad thing necessarily, but it doesn't hit my palate quite right. I do taste the ginger that the label says it's brewed with, and that is quite interesting. The alcohol is also too aggressive as a flavor component. There is an odd fruitiness, too, that lingers into the finish and is slightly sweet although also somewhat dry.
Mouthfeel is quite chewy, a pretty full body and has a nice creaminess. It's a little dry in the finish and the lingering booze flavor detracts a bit.
This is a pretty decent tripel and actually it's better than I expected based on prior experiences with Rock Art brews. The alcohol is too much and takes away from the flavor, which is what brings the drinkability down for me. Still, a decent tripel and worth a try.

Poured into a chalice, the appearance was a ruddy burnt golden slightly amber color with a slight orange hues along the sides of the glass. Slim cap of a little white head quickly dissipated and left no lace. The aroma had the ginger bold and spicy up front encasing some floral/herbal/grassy sweetness to the bottom of the nose. Slight woody and vanilla components came out. Light apricot further underneath. The flavor was spicy initially through the ginger. Sweet malty cleanliness played with the wood and vanilla. Apricot sweetness underneath. Aftertaste was the ginger and the malts. Finish was just a touch sticky sweet. The palate was almost medium bodied, seemed to sit just a touch under. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, I liked it for me, but the ginger seemed to overpower the Tripel qualities.

This beer pours a cloudy caramel color with a small white head that fades pretty quickly. Probably the least lively tripel I've head. On the nose you get strong notes of caramel malt, belgian candi sugar, some of that bubblegum belgian ester, and some ginger. The taste is where the ginger and spices become more pronounced, very good. Interesting twist on the Belgian Tripel, I'd like to get another bottle and age for a bit more time to see if it improves carbonation.

A: Pours a hazy medium to dark golden yellow in color with some light amounts of gentle visible carbonation and some orange and copper highlights. The beer has a little more than a finger tall dense foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a medium thin patch of moderate sized bubbles, a very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer, and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of pale and toasted malts with some light to moderate aromas of candi sugar and some honey sweetness. There are some spicy notes of ginger and white pepper along with some light notes of light fruits - maybe apple and orange peel.
T: Upfront there are some light to moderate flavors of pale malts with some notes of toasted malts and some honey sweetness. After that, there are some notes of candi sugar with some candied ginger and white pepper spiciness. There are some light fruit notes including orange peel and apple. Light amounts of bitterness in the finish which fades rather quickly along with some light alcohol notes.
M: Medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness and just a touch of alcohol warming in the finish.
O: Not as complex as I have come to expect for the style and probably not one of the strongest examples either - also, the alcohol is not as well hidden as I would like. The addition of ginger is interesting but not sure I would grab another one of these.

Pours a light fizzy head that covers the beer but not by much, fades fairly quickly, semi clear golden orange like color.
Nose is candy like, orange peel candy, light candied ginger, hint of chlorine, minerals, light esters and typical phenols, hint of booze, actually the chlorine comes out more the more I nose it, a light wheat like aroma, and some light amber malts.
Taste starts with biscuit and toasty malts, reddish amber malts, a little sweet but not much, candy flavors with light caramel and toffee, light candy syrup, and candied orange peel, as well as light candied ginger. Light bitterness and rind flavors, little gritty and earthy with a light earthy spicy but slightly rancid oily hops, a touch of booze with light phenols and esters again, luckily no chlorine this time, but a hint of minerals. Finish is semi sweet and sticky, a weird rind bitterness and earthiness, long lingering sweet syrupy flavors and candied orange peel and ginger.
Mouth is med bodied, decent enough small bubbled carb, some warming booze.
Overall meh, very light on tripel flavors, esters, phenols, spices, although there was plenty of sweet syrupy candy, orange peel, ginger, citrus etc, and terrible chlorine aroma. again like a lot of Rock Art beers it's nothing very special and kinda meh.
