Notes/Commercial Description:
This mysterious ale calls upon centuries of brewing and human intrigue with natural herbs. In days gone by, these beers were conjured up for many reasons and occasions. Folks consumed various natural herbs in many forms, and beer was one. It was thought that these herbs had qualities that complement everyday life. Today's connoisseur is finding that a swing back to the way it used to be is a natural cycle of life. Some of our modern ways could use a little tweaking and taking a step back into the world of Herbs is a great way to start. Enjoy this amber ale with nice malt sweetness and just a hint of Jasmine and hops.

Pours a light pasty white fizzy head that barely reaches 1/4 finger but does sit with a nice head covering, no lacing, mostly clear slight particulate floating in it, lighter golden orange color.

Nose has some light bready malts, hint of yeast, light jasmine and floral tea but lighter than expected, hint of a sweet malt, with a bit of a flowery aroma, but still very light and muted.

Taste starts with grainy malts, a stale tasting wheat like, lighter jasmine flavor with a light floral tea and flower petals, almost like chewing on flower petals, little yeast as well through that, with a watery tea, very little malts overall. Finish is a bit drier, light lingering jasmine and a bit of grainy but watery tea.

Mouth is quite light bodied, lighter carb too.

Overall it's not a very good beer. Way too light in everything, very little grain and malt, very little jasmine even, more like a watered down tea, oh yeah and it's very watery, pretty much like drinking flavored water.

In a pint glass the beer was a hazy amber color with a thin white head.

It had a very sweet, perfumey, floral aroma. A little sweet malt.

A sweet floral taste. I felt like I was drinking a bouquet. A little bit of bread, and a kiss of hops.

An OK summer beer. For me it was too much on the sweet side.

I drank the bottle and won't be looking for any more.

Appearance: cloudy, red/brown in color, minimal head, high carbonation, sediment is present

Smell: florals, bread, and citrus hops

Taste: the jasmine florals are very present throughout, bread, citrus hops, and tea also present

Mouthfeel: moderately bitter, medium light bodied, high carbonation

Drinkability: This may be one of the most floral beers I have ever had. It feels like I am drinking flowery tea. An interesting take with low ABV, I could have a couple.

22 oz. bomber

This is a murky, orange-hued honey color and a darker shade toward the top of the glass. The off-white head dissipates pretty fast, looks lively at first then becomes less active.

Very floral nose, sweet parfume and rose buds, slight citric scent. Not much else.

A slightly bitter and very floral taste overpowers everything, it's taste just like sweet, small flowers in bloom with onnly a hint of light malt crispness. I'm getting gummy bears right at the end. The feel is actually really thin, loses it's crispness fast and really is lifeless.

I enjoy the uniqueness, this was an idea my girlfriend had for a batch of beer, only she wanted to add some lilacs!!! This one is pretty weak though.

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on September 2, 2013.

It pours copper-amber in color with a long-lasting white head and a lot of upwardly mobile carbonation. Clean, crisp hop note. Good clarity.

The body is light for the most part and slightly creamy.

The taste is alive with jasmine and herbs with the slightest of pale malts. The hops come up at the finish in a clean, refreshing way. But this beer is definitely an acquired taste.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of caramel malt with some very subtle notes of jasmine and some floral hops. Taste is also dominated by some medium full caramel malt with some very subtle jasmine and some floral and lightly bitter hops. I would have expected more dominant jasmine notes but still very enjoyable and easily quaffable.

22 oz bottle poured into two pint glasses.

Poured a copper color with orange hues and a thick white head with light lacing. Unique herbal, floral and fruity aromas, not the usual citrus hop aromas. The taste is unique also, a citusy, herbal up front taste with a sweet malty middle, finishing with a tealike floral jasmine aftertaste. Nice mouthfeel and surprisingly easy drinkability.

I bought this beer for the simple reason that it sounded different, I didn't expect to like it but it is very well balanced and my wife and I both really enjoyed it.

A) Pours with a foamy head then settles quickly to no head. No lacing. Hazy. Orange brown in color.
S) Malty notes. Definitive Jasmine / floral aroma. Hops mixed in - balanced well.
T) Floral and fruity from start to finish. Very mellow malty-ness. Hops are dominated by the Jasmine and not nearly as noticeable.
M) Light fizziness. Medium bodied. An alcoholic effervescence.
D) A decent pale ale. The creative touch with the Jasmine is nice.

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass.

Hardly a two finger off white head, settles to a fine puck, and thin collar. Body is a dark orange amber, large cola bubbles glance the sides of the glass. Not too much lively character here.

Nose is a dense herbal floral sense, the sugar malt nose comes through with a bit of grass action. Mostly though, very clean, and very neutral. Nothing offensive but this isn't very engaging either.

Mouthfeel is almost like tap water. Fleeting very wet palate without a quench. However, flavor is there with a good floral boost. But this body is so weak it just is not carrying the flavor forward. Malt action, weak. Hops, non existent. Soda and cola like flat carbonation, in there in spades.

This beer has potential but it's being completely wasted. I get a sense of hints of really good things behind this, but the building blocks are just not even there to build a real solid good beer.

Bottle shared by Sammy, 650ml into some tulips.

Murky orange, with a thin offwhite head. Whisps of retention. Nose has some apricot, mango, grains and a bit of character that perhaps suggests slight oxidation. Taste has a weird grainy character, light spice, sweaty socks, and an odd stinky finish. Herbal and soapy notes come through as well. Watery feel, light carbonation. Not pleasant to consume, and I'm not sure what went wrong here. Wouldn't revisit this one.

Jasmine Pale Ale has a thin white head that quickly dissapears. Very hazy honey color.

Smells like jasmine. Actually it smells like fabric softener.

Wierd beer. First it's great: jasmine, honey and ginger with a green tea flavor (Crystal Light green tea, not actual green tea which tastes like sock sweat). Gentle and clean it feels like the first day of spring. Has a cloying sweet aftertaste that gets obnoxious though. After a while, however, it just tastes like stale ginger ale. This was consistent with both glasses and really kills any drinkability.

A- honey amber color, lots of floaties. very small head

S- herbal and flowery. not much else going on.

T- very light, delicate flavor. not very malty. bittering hops barely peek through. has a strong immediate aftertaste of flowers, followed by a slightly sour taste in the back of the throat. Well balanced, due to the lack of much malt profile.

M- Med to heavy carbonation. thin consistency.

D- Refreshing, different, but I wouldn't drink much of this. Kind of makes me feel like i'm drinking air freshener, but I still kind of like it.

22 oz. bottle:

Pours light copperish amber with an off-white head that stays for a bit before becoming a vanishing wisp. Lacing follows a bit but doesn't stick.

The smell is medicinal/floral. Jasmine predominant. A hint of grainy malt backs it up.
Jasmine candle comes to mind.

The taste is of light malt - slightly bready. Jasmine more than a "hint", though not overbearing either. Some water comes through. There is just a slight hint of hops to keep it from being too sweet or herbal/floral. Finishes with an herbal dryness.

Light-bodied, with mild carbonation, it is on the border of watery.

A light pale with a jasmine/herb character. Different.
