Our golden American ale has a crisp body and slightly dry, hoppy finish. This is a real treat for the beer lover. Pale, wheat and torrified wheat malts are used with Northern Brewer and Mt. Hood hops.

Grabbed a six pack of this a while back and here are my notes... Poured out a slightly pale gold color with a thick white head. Good lacing and good retention. The aroma was pilsner like, pale malt and semi-sweet. The flavors were sweet at first, malty and with hints of fruit. But a sourness developed as I continued to drink which had partly to do with the citrus hop finish. Dry with an average mouthfeel and light body. Drinkable characteristically but the flavors were not my favorite which scuttles the ship.

a golden ale far better than most, i am afraid this is way underrated here on BA. its a little different than the flavorless yellow water people seem to prefer in the style. it has some real malt flavor to it, maybe some oats or some toasted malt too, on top of the pale stuff, there are some layers here, and while its not the best beer from rock art, it certainly is better than its ratings and is always welcome in my fridge when the weather is hot. clear and shiny in the glass, but i like it best ice cold from the bottle. its refreshing stuff, fresh, and with more flavor than most of these, a slight bitter grassy hop note to the back end, nice and dry, and with a little more body than is common too. great carbonation, a slightly bready flavor running through it, and something that is easy to drink by the six pack. a nice break from the heavy ipa of vermont, something a little lighter but real well done. not sure why folks dont like this more, it has everything i need in the style. rock art is too often forgotten about with all the new and sexy beer coming out of vermont, these guys still make great beers.

Bought a bottle when I was up in Vermont at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury. The beer has a lightly murky golden color with a thin head and good lacing on the sides. Aromas include a spiced, buttery grain smell; could sense maybe a bit of vanilla too. Taste was not too bad; the beer is sweet and grainy. Mouthfeel really helps the beer and flavor. The carbonation is quite good and the medium body makes the beer nice, watery, and refreshing. Overall, I really enjoyed the appearance and mouthfeel to this beer.

Hazy gold color with a modest foamy white head that vanishes quickly.
The aroma is grainy with hints of coriander and esters.
The taste is bready malts, some mild peppery spices, herbal hops and some apple like notes.
The body is light and fairly smooth making it easy to drink.
Overall, a decent refreshing brew, nothing special but refreshing and enjoyable for a hot day.

Pours a golden straw with a thin line of head that dissipated quickly. The nose is too reminiscent of an AAL for my liking. The flavor is crisp and the finish is pleasantly dry.
