Mildly sweet amber body with a beautiful hint of maple from dark syrup sourced locally from Dodge’s Mansion Sugar House in Johnson, VT.

Purchased from the Winhall Market; born on 2/15/2022. Pours golden yellow with decent foamy that rapidly recedes. Tastes is very bland - nothing really distinguishing about this beer. I really wanted to like this - sounds delicious... but really didn't taste like anything.

Appearance is foggy burnt amber with a short khaki head dying quickly to a fine chain.
Exhibiting qualities that near barleywine attributes--which seems odd to me at such a low ABV--I'm tasting butterscotch, toffee and a little orange resin.
The maple only seems to come out as it warms, within a hint of brulee.
Overall it's a muddled and unusual brew that doesn't translate well to me.

Sampling a chilled 16 oz can poured into my snifter. I am away from home, so no weizen glass for this one.
The beer pours a clear chestnut to mahogany color with a frothy eggshell white to beige colored head. The foam rises 3 cm and almost tops my glass before the foam fades to almost nothing soon after the pour.
the aroma on this beer is mild with some caramel and maple with hints of wheat notes and some light fruit too. Not really getting any hop character and the ABV is well hidden too.
First sip reveals a medium body with fine and tingly carbonation and a smooth texture. Beer drinks very easy and the glass is getting empty pretty quickly after the pour.
The flavor is similar to the nose, sort of sweet malt with caramel notes again, and some grainy notes with a bit of wheat twanginess. I also get a bit of light fruit, maybe pear or sweet apple. No hops and no abv. Overall this is a mild beer and it isnt bad, but leaves me hoping for more.
Glad to have tried this one, would not chase it down but wouldnt say no, especially in a warm outdoor event.

The appearance was a red/amber colored clear body with a two finger white foamy head that rapidly dissipates and leaves a tad of lacing in its wake. The smell had a maple aroma up front but not overbearing just combined nicely with some light malt and wheat, slight apples very faint. The taste was mainly sweet with the previously mentioned flavors, maple becomes dominant and lingers into aftertaste and finish. On the palate, it sat about a medium, sessionable, adequate carbonation. Overall, pretty nice as an APWA with some maple added to it.
