Pours a very light brown hue which leaves a two finger head and little lacing here and there, the smell is average there is a slight tinge of fruity hops, dark malts and dark fruit, the mouthfeel is just over light bodied but very sessionable and has tastes of candied figs, light milk chocolate, dark fruit and finished with a nice bitter hoppiness that isnt overly bitter and very easy to knock back and overall its alright and way better than the standard Aussie King browns but i probably wouldnt rush out and buy again cheers.

This pours a dark brown with a thick beige head that drops quickly.

Pine resin dominates the nose. Nuttiness really comes out when the pine resin blows off.

Not sure about the flavours. Not really getting the nuttiness through and the hoppiness is a bit murky. Assertive bitterness.

Medium bodied.

I thought I'd like this a lot when I smelt it but in the end I was a little underwhelmed. Not really hoppy enough to be a American brown for me.

650ml bottle poured into a nonik style pint glass. Thanks to mulder1010 for bringing this back from the brewery itself!

True brown in appearance, with a modest head of off-white foam measuring less than a centimetre and turning to film relatively soon.

Real nutty aroma, very true to style for an English brown.

Nuts is what this is all about, clean, consistent, nutty flavour is there throughout.

Body is well suited to the style of beer and mouthfeel is consistenty smooth and the beer quite drinkable.

Overall, very consistent, what you see is what you get, style of brown ale. More british in my opinion, but well done. This brewery seems to fly under the radar of many in Oz, but does some quite good stuff.

Cloudy red colour with a small, short lasted light tan head.

Piney hop aroma with hints of nut. Slightly malty.

Sweet malt plays with moderate bitterness. Piney, resinous hop character which would be improved with a touch of floral hop. Decent.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Fine but nothing special.

A nice, drinking beer. Pretty good for a midstrength.
