Poured into a tulip glass from a 750ml bottle.
Barreled: 7/2012
Bottled: 4/2013

Pours a very nice hazy but bright golden color with some slight orange hues to it. THere is a nice lively white had that forms that is dense but recedes quickly. It leaves some mild sticky lacing.

Aroma is of funky cardboard, wood and grain. Some musty barnyard notes followed by some slight acidic citrus notes. Mild notes of lemon are present as well as some slight sugary yeast esters that bring to mind some apple juice. The brew s nose isn't very tart but there are some slight lemony notes that can be perceived.

Flavor follows the nose somewhat in that its pretty funky and dry. Notes of wood and dusty barnyard are present in the flavor along with some very mild lemony tartness that shows up around the middle of the brew. This notes are followed by a nice dry yeasty note that brings up some mild notes of cider and some bready grain. Dry and mildly phenolic. Mouthfeel is very nice with notes of chalky yeast and a pretty pillowy and fluffy carbonation.

This is a nice AWA. Its not overly sour but it has a nice slight tart note to it with some good funky and woody notes. Solid.

this is brilliant, some of the best beer these guys have come out with. tangerine, lime, and lemon zest as flavor agents, the lime is the strongest of the three, wight he tangerine right in tow. hazy pale blonde in color, effervescently heady, tart to the nostrils with all that citrus. the rose petals add a pollen element and some distinct perfume character. bretty and lacto heavy, hard to tell in flavor where the citrus zest stops and the bacterial fermentation begins, but i like that. the rose is subtle, but the oak leaves a nice earthy sweetness that ties this all together. more brett than lacto as it swallows, with more dry tartness than acid specifically. carbonation is amazing, some say too much, but its right on for me. maximally refreshing with the low alcohol too, sometimes trinity makes unnecessarily strong beers, but this one is right in the all day drinking honey hole. so much citrus flavor, really pale malt presence, and all the funk you could ask for. a little lime dominated, i think more rose could add a layer, but i love this as it stands. expensive, but justifiably this time around.
