Looked dark gold in the glass and had a creamy, white head. The aroma exhibited spicy scents like cinnamon, coriander, and white pepper. The flavor came across peppery with hints of grapefruit and warm orange juice; nice alcohol warmth. Medium bodied; smooth yet tingly and with a dry finish.

Very good saison with a wild mixture of flavors and scents that all seem to come together and work out well. The brewers did an excellent job of keeping the relatively high ABV in check with this crazy mixture of flavors and scents.

Poured this unique brew out of a champagne bottle. The aroma was a curious malty floral mix that played well with the nose. The beer was a pink red color and had a thousand tiny bubbles running up it to replenish a nice white skirt.

The beer was crisp and refreshing and somehow covered up the 13%. Medium body with a little sour hint at the finish.

Beer is very sweet, almost cloying.

Once again, thanks to Ratman for pulling this one out. Poured a light pinkish/amber color with a dirty white head. Aromas of tart cherries, yeast and bread. On the palate, this one was light bodied and slightly tart, with flavors of pie cherries, bread and light yeast.

Bottle pour at the post-FWIBF bottle share held at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles, CA.

Bottle # 12.25.13.

Pours a murky light reddish-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with malt, spice, and cherry aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour malt, spice, and fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an interesting combination of spice and fruit qualities.

13 percent, really? didnt know that nor feel it.

appearance - pink/ruby raspberry color, off white head, with okay lacing.

smell - sour cherries, spicy yeast, grains, hoping for a bit more of something here especially when finding out its 13 percent

taste - cherry again, minor tartness, spicy yeast...not incredible but certainly not bad

mouthfeel - dry and crisp, light carbonation and medium body to light for the abv

Pours a ligt, hazy pink with a thin white head. The nose has wheaty malts, tart cherries and fresh citrus fruits. Flavor is crisp and refeshing. Wild cherries, wheat and honey. Clean body is nicely carbonated. A great Saison, drinks way to easy for 13 percent.
