A. Cloudy orange. Head dissipates quickly.

S. Sour Tangerine. Oak

T. Like the smell. Tangerine oak and some bitterness from the hops. Funky.

M. Puckering but not overbearing. Medium body and low to medium carbonation.

O. Pretty good level of sour and lots of flavor going on. Would drink this again

Poured into a tulip glass from a750ml bottle.

Pours a nice hazy yet bright orange with some nice peachy colors. There is a nice ha;f inch medium dense head that has very little retention and quickly disappears down to a thin ring around the glass.

Aroma is interesting. strong hoppy tropical notes. Notes of peach and papaya with some good slight passion fruit notes and mango as well. Aroma has tons of notes of brett and woody funk. Musty! So musty. With slight citrus tartness in the nose this is a very interesting brew.

The flavor follows the interesting nose. Funky and musty. Heavy notes of brett. There are notes of wood and wet cardboard as well as some cornhusk notes. Notes of tropical fruit mixed in with the funk. Slight tartness in the flavor that is inviting but gets slightly offset by the funk and slight fruit juice sweetness as well as some citrus hop notes. This is an interesting brew with some good crisp carbonation that is also not as fluffy. The carbonation just helps to clean the palette.

Super funky brew that is nice and inviting. Brett notes are quite funky and go very well with the slight tart notes and the mild juicy hops.

From a 750 ml bottle (there are spaces on the label for bottle number and barrel number, but the spaces are blank....) into a tulip.

A-My bottle gushed lightly upon popping the cap. The pour, however, produced no issues. Instead, I got about a finger and change of dense, eggshell colored head. Retention was roughly a minute and no lacing was left behind. The brew was very murky and light-honey colored.

S-The smell is dominated by funky brett flavors, but you also know this is an IPA-derivative with hops in the mix. Very interesting.... I get juicy citrus flavors like orange and tangerine, as well as grapefruit. There is a bit of tart lemon curd, too. Slightly earthy and damp smelling.

T-The taste tracks the smell pretty closely. Musty, damp brett flavors combine with juicy, citrusy hop flavors. The hops also provide a vaguely tropical fruit mixture. The acidity is subtle, but it provides a nice, juicy tartness.

M-The feel was fairly wet with lower than expected carbonation levels. Medium heft.

O-This is a pretty unique brew. Flavor and complexity are impressive for the low ABV and I find it quite drinkable. The closest comparison would be the Crooked Stave Hop Savant line, but this brew feels less worked-over and drinks more easily than CS. If this brew weren't so spendy, i.e., around 18 bucks for a 750 ml, I would drink it a lot because it would pair well with so many types of food and the ABV is quite manageable.

750 mL gusher of a bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy and murky orange. Not much of a head. Thin collar.

Smell - Acidic. Very bretty. Hoppy too. Citrus and grapefruit. Musty.

Taste - Citrus hop, but gets tangy quickly. Lemony tang. Earthy brett is strong.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Bitter and mildly sour. Flavorful for its size.

Overall - Got tiresome after a while.
