Hazy reddish brown in color with soapy head and lacing. Nose is vegetal, dank fruit, alcoholic warmth and spices. Taste is roasty malts up front followed by bitter hop character and boozy bite. A hint of cooking spices. Medium thin mouth feel and strong carbonic bite. Not a bad winter warmer, somewhat middle-of-the-road and very in line with Red Hooks idea of unintimidating craft beer.

A- Since I drank it from the bottle. I cannot comment on what the appearance was nor the head.

S- Crisp and medium in smell, notes of Dry Hops. Caramel body.

T- bold flavor probably due to the malts definitely Hoppy in character, the brisk nature tasted like some carbonation. This wasn't too hoppy though like a IPA. Slight spice and a hint of sourness.

M-Smooth and medium.

O- At first I did not think I would like the beer, but after the second taste. There was a good balance between the malt and hop. I liked it as for a seasonal ale.

Wow this pours a brilliant dark brown red, I love the look of this beer. The smell is a bit different, hops, Malt and something I can't explain. The taste is a lot happier than I thought and it's got a bit of a roasted barley and hops blended nicely. Only complaint is it ends a little bland. Overall I was really surprised by this beer and would definitely recommend it.
