12-oz bottle into Samuel Smith "Tulip" pint glass
A - 2 fingers of thick off-white head atop a transparent body of golden amber; few carbonation bubbles; laces the glass nicely
S - pine, citrus, and a buttered biscuit
T - malty with sides of pine and citrus; buttery character; touch of fruit; somewhat biting flavor
M - lower end of full-bodied with decent carbonation; creamy
O - Redhook ESB, though not the most amazing beer you will ever drink, is a bit under-rated. You can do a lot worse in its price range. Bottom line, it is a pleasant and well-balanced ESB.
