Appearance: Pours a somewhat cloudy burnt orange color with a very small ring of bubbles that fell really quickly. It was gone within a few seconds and only a wisp of a ring remained on the edge of the glass.
Aroma: A little bit of citrusy hops are the predominant aroma along with a light caramel malt presence. There are some mild toasty notes in here that are more noticeable as the beer warms up and settles a bit.
Taste: The flavor is much milder than the aroma suggested it would be. It is actually pretty light bodied and the lack of carbonation actually works in its favor as it actually gives it some flavor. The hops are here, but they are more reserved in the flavor than in the nose. The finish has some dryness that I think is a mix of the water, hop rates, and age.
Opinion: I think that this beer was just past its prime, so it is not the best right now. That said, even if this beer was fresh, I don't think that it would be anything to go out of ones way for.
