12 ounce bottle. Picked this one up because it was on sale and I was in the mood for an autumn seasonal. Poured into a basic tumbler glass. The first thing I notice with this beer is the clarity, as it's crystal clear. Nice, full, 2 inch head that's well constructed. Aroma is best described as subdued. Less polite, you could say that it just doesn't seem like there is anything there. Faint malts, maybe, if you stretch for it. Happily it tastes better than it smells, with a crisp malt bite and some nice sweetness in the finish. Flavor is pretty good, actually. It hits you with a rush of brown sugar up front, followed by dried apricots and peaches in the finish. This one doesn't have a lot of aspiprations. It's meant to be an easy drinking autumn seasonal, and in that regard it's quite successful.
