Served on-tap at Blarney's, Willimantic, Conn.
A: Poured a clean looking light amber with a nice two-finger head of white foam. Left some very nice lacing behind.
S: Smell is pine and citrus hops. There's a little sweetness in the nose as well, like a lemon drop candy or something.
T: Tastes unsurprisingly like many other IPAs; cloves, pine, lemon/orange peel and some ester alcohol. The finish is clean and dry.
M: Thin and refreshing mouthfeel. Not too spectacular, but not a letdown, and nothing unpleasant.
D: I liked this enough where I'd probably buy a 6-pack to share with friends or keep around when I wanted a simple IPA. ABV might keep you from drinking more than 4 or so.
Overall, not a bad IPA, nor a great one. As American IPAs go, however, this is one that would probably prove more reliable than others in terms of consistent taste and delivery. Perhaps too generic for some, but a decent IPA for Redhook.

Purchased from one of the local quick marts.
A: A slightly cloudy golden with moderate head and retention.
S: Mild notes of hops, pine and citrus.
T: Same as the smell. Mild yet well balanced.
M: Clean and crisp. Goes down easy.
O: A good intro IPA. Not for the hop sadist though. It was the first IPA I ever had and works well in that capacity. Nice to revisit but probably won't buy again.
