I picked up some of this at Target (!) -- not exactly where one shops for good brew... However, I had never tried it, and I decided to give it a whirl.
The appearance is very nice. This beer pours to a nice, golden color with a moderate, lacy head. While initially the head looks tight and creamy, it gives way to a more laced appearance.
Smell -- for an IPA, I was decidedly underwhelmed by the aroma. In short -- I expected more hops character. My score does not indicate that the scent is unpleasant -- far from it. However, for a beer badged as an IPA, I would expect a more hop-centric aroma. I detected hops, but more subtle than a traditional IPA. I also detected some citrus overtones, but exactly which, I could not isolate.
Taste -- I scored this beer a 3.0. As an IPA, it is (in my opinion) way to sweet, fruity, and light on hops. This is not to say that LH IPA isn't an enjoyable beer and doesn't taste good. It has a very nice, albeit subtle, flavor. It isn't exactly what I'd expect from an IPA, though.
Mouthfeel -- very nice. Smooth initially, with a nice finish. Not overly carbonated.
Drinkability -- Also very nice. Although it falls short as an IPA, it is still a nice beer to drink. Very smooth and refreshing, along with a decent ABV. To an IPA devote', I expect it would be a disappointment. However, it could be a nice "transition" beer for one looking to move away from BMC offerings in small steps.

This is my first IPA and I have to say, not a great impression has been made on me. I like the look and it had a hearty smell too it, like others said sort of a piney-ness to it. The taste however was very bitter, I don't feel that I'm experienced enough in the IPA category to properly judge, HOWEVER, the bitterness and aftertaste for me was not something I thoroughly enjoyed. I'll continue trying out various ipa's and rewrite a review if I feel I didn't do this one justice but I will say they put enough of a alcohol percentage in to it so that I didn't completely waste my money away!
