Poured into a Pint Glass
Appearance - Oranger/Ember Color with a slight haze. Soapy 2 finger head that takes a couple of minutes to disappear. Small amount of carbonation going on inside.
Smell - Yeasts, Barley, Malts and a Rusty/Metallic Scent (Hey it's the best way to describe it). I guess it's appropriate considering this beer is named after a metal which oxidizes after a certain period of time. I dunno about this...
Taste - Yeasts, Barley, Biscuits, Slight Floral Hops with a Marzen/Metallic aftertaste. Like the smell, the flavor seems appropriate considering the name but I'm not really digging it.
Mouthfeel - Moderate body and mild carbonation. It at least feels alright on the palate.
Overall - This could've been an alright and simple beer had it not been for the metallic/rust flavors, which made it taste like old pennies. As it is right now, I wouldn't recommend drinking this unless you like your mouth tasting like old rusty copper pennies

Appearance: no surprise, it is a copper colored ale. Pours about a 1 1/2" head that dissipates rapidly leaving moderate lacing. Moderate carbonation.
Aroma: mild aroma, smell of toasted grains and sweet malt
Mouthfeel: mouthfeel is watery and carbonated. Sweetness predominates but there is some mild hop to balance it. Finish is semi-dry.
Flavor: flavor is consistent throughout with a blend of malt and hops.
Overall: I really enjoy Copperhook and recommend it if you like session ales, Copper/Red ales, or if your palate runs more towards malt than hops.
