Notes/Commercial Description:
Who needs precious metals, when you’ve got Copper?! This copper colored ale is a real crowd-pleaser. Copperhook strikes the perfect balance of smooth, rich, malty flavor you’d expect from a craft brew with a lighter body and hop profile that makes it a perfect “session” beer when you’ve got a long day ahead of knocking back a few with your buddies.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

Poured about a 1/2 inch head of creamy, frothy head. Fully diminishing.

Aromas of lager yeast, and spring seasonal flower.

Clear Honey-yellow amber in body appearance more than copper or metallic as advertised.

Tastes of honey, brown sugar, and sweetened butter leading into notes grainy malt and sharp dough with you could say a 'metallic-ly' cool and dry finish. Sessionably sweet without too much sharp carbonation.

Although a little higher in alcohol content (5.7-8 % abv) than your average sessionable beer, this an easy drinking brew. Not complex or overwhelming in an category, but I'd prefer something more tasty... Not a bad brew to end a night on though.

Appearance: no surprise, it is a copper colored ale. Pours about a 1 1/2" head that dissipates rapidly leaving moderate lacing. Moderate carbonation.

Aroma: mild aroma, smell of toasted grains and sweet malt

Mouthfeel: mouthfeel is watery and carbonated. Sweetness predominates but there is some mild hop to balance it. Finish is semi-dry.

Flavor: flavor is consistent throughout with a blend of malt and hops.

Overall: I really enjoy Copperhook and recommend it if you like session ales, Copper/Red ales, or if your palate runs more towards malt than hops.
