Slim Chance ale combines the best attributes of a crisp, refreshing ale without the extra calories. Golden kilned malt and a touch of wheat create this smooth, satisfying ale that is not your typical light beer.

Appearance: Clear medium golden in color, with a moderate, off-white head, which retains well. Thin, fine-beaded lacing is scattered across the glass walls; the carbonation is slight and slow-rising.
Aroma: Clean, lightly toasted pale malts, and a faint grassy hop presence.
Taste: Opens with lightly toasted pale malt, as a slice of fresh, homemade white bread lightly browned. Grassy hops present as the taste progresses. The malts and hops compliment each other as the taste progresses, neither dominating. Finishes with an understated malt sweetness, and mild, lingering grassy hops.
Mouth feel: A touch thin, with zesty carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Nice, doesn't present as a light beer, would be quite drinkable, especially during the dog days of summer.
Presentation: Packaged in a custom embossed twelve ounce brown glass long-neck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a standard pint tap glass.

Pours a two finger white head that fades slowly to a ring leaving a good lace. Almost clear light amber color. Light-medium carbonation and light bodied. Light hoppy nose. Flavor is light citric with some hops. Slim chance this will ever be in the house again. There are better lights - like Sam Adams. $2.00 for a 12oz bottle from Barb's Beer Emporium Concord, NH.
