12oz brown bottle. One of the many 'Redhook Brewlab' revival beers that I brought to various college parties back in the mid 2010s

Decent porter, very drinkable some cola and cocoa flavor with hints of dark tea. Nice look and smell... one of the better Redhook beers I've had during this run

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Dark brown, almost black, small beige head, streaky lacing. Looks great. Muted aroma, roast grains, coffee. Taste is also a straight forward porter, sharp bitterness. Finishes quick. Good entry level porter.

I love all the brews from Redhook Brewery. While on vacation we went to the brewery in Seattle. I think that the ratings for them are way under-rated. I wish it was easier to get more of their stuff where I live here in mid-America. This is rich and flavorful as all of their's I have tried.

A: opaque; very dark brown with mahogany at the edges; 1 finger light brown head that receded slowly to a thin cap; nice lacing;

S: milk chocolate up front with deeply roasted grains getting added in after a second or two;

T: a combination of deeply roasted grains and bittersweet chocolate up front; the chocolate dominates from the middle to the finish; aftertaste has notes of coffee grounds;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish;

O: easy drinking; hadn't seen this on draft in several years;

Well, it's a porter. It tastes fine. Just fine. Not great. Not unique or with any special attributes to set it apart from other porters. Just okay. For someone who has never tasted a porter before, this might convert them. The flavor isn't too roasty or too musky. Someone who is expecting a DARK dark beer might be disappointed.

Overall, it's drinkable. It's okay.

Production date 10 February 2017: decanted into a tulip pint glass.
A: Dark brown without being opaque, 3/8 inch tan head that fades to solid lacing.
S: Dark, roasted malts not as well expressed as expected. Peppery almost to the point of being acrid.
T: Dark, roasted malts with bitterness throughout and a bitter aftertaste that lasts.
M: Light for the style, happily so as it offsets some of the bitterness.
O: Certainly drinkable. There are definitely more flavorful, better composed versions of this style.
Note, on a second tasting, felt exactly the same.

12oz bottle to pint glass.

Pours a nicely dark body, mostly opaque brown with a huge tan head that leaves a ton of lacing. Nice aromas of light roasted barley, hints of coffee and chocolate. Smooth body, chocolate and roast and coffee, medium almost-leafy hop bite, moderate sweetness, really drinkable.

Really impressed. This is something I could drink fairly regularly.

Anyways, this beer pours a dark brown. Viscosity is a little bit thinner than average, but not terribly done or anything, still a porter at the end of the day. Brown head, 1/3", lighter than the body. Aroma was of pretty much exclusively roastiness.

Taste is more roast, decent amount of Cascade hopping. Lots of carbonation keeps the mouth feel relatively light for style. Good cross over type of beer. Do they even still make this? Haven't seen it in a long time. Can't be a big money mover for InBev methinks. Ashy nuts. There's really nothing wrong with this beer, I think its niche is for people who want to adventure into dark beers, and people who like dark beers in the summertime.

Man I remember the first time I had this. House party in Chico. My friend's friend's roommate. Wakes me up on a couch after a long night of partying went into the morning, let's go get some beer. We picked up a 6 pack of this stuff. She was Middle Eastern and into anal.

Pours a clear dark brown color. 2/3 inch head of an off-tan color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of strong roasted malt, sweet malt, hint of coffee, and slight hops. Fits the style of an English Porter. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong roasted malt, sweet malt, hint of coffee, hint of alcohol, hint of yeast, and slight hops. Overall, good appearance, average aroma, body, and blend.
