Notes/Commercial Description:
This beer is retired; no longer brewed.

Czech out Redhook’s newest brew. Redhook Pilsner is crisp, golden lager that is modeled after those historic beers originally made in Plzeň, Czechoslovakia. Redhook Pilsner’s maltiness is offset by a medium dose of Saaz hops and finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. A great “session” lager for when you’ve got a long day ahead of drinking.

look: 3 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 3 | overall: 3

Look: Kind of a pale/golden yellow color with about a 1/2 inch white head that has ok retention and a bit of lacing

Smell: The nose is very mild and carries some citrus and spice notes

Taste: Again the flavor is mild as I expected it to be has so bready notes mixed in with a slight hop character honestly not much happening

Mouthfeel: Low to medium body with a decent amount of carbonation

Overall: The drinkability on this is pretty good it goes down very easy and seems like a beer you could drink about 20 of so for that reason alone I say the beer is worth a try

12oz : pint glass

Pours a clear golden, straw color with a fizzy white head.

In both the nose and palate, grainy malts, with light grassy hop notes.

Medium body, fizzy, bubbly carbonation.

Fairly standard throughout. Nothing that particularly stands out.

I guess I expected more than the averageness I got. The head stayed with the beer for awhile. The pale yellow color indicated beer. The simple taste was nothing special. And I didn't notice much of an aroma. It was as drinkable as any American macrobrew pilsner.
