On tap at The Publick House in Brookline, MA.

Had this right after a Green Flash West Coast IPA, and if I didn't know different I would have sworn at first taste that the GF had a higher ABV.

Beautifully balanced beer. Rich copper color, dense creamy off-white head, citrusy hop aroma. Flavor is incredibly well balanced between the massive malt and hop levels, and the alcohol is very well hidden. With very little lingering bitterness, this beer is surprisingly easy to drink for an 8% IPA.

Kudos to Lost Abbey on their first IPA. Outstanding.

Poured into a gobblet at Brewforia, Meridain. Head light...lacing delicate..small bubbles bouncing up through the dark amber....very dark with fine highlights. Massive grapefruit...sublte orange....do I taste pomegranate? Very smooth in the mouth leaves the palliate dry...like a lemon...tart...expecting the next mouthful. If this beer had just a smidge more complex overtones it would as my server said,"Stupid good." Cheers!!

This holiday IPA shows a dark rosy amber color with a fair cover of white that breaks down to a sparse blanket with lots of crackled lacing. The aroma is clearly announcing some grapefruit hops and some caramel wheat. Fairly mild but nice. The flavor brings a bigger hop kick with near cloying grapefruit and some piny bitter sweetness. There's a hint of cherry and sweet grain with a very subtle alcohol sensation. This is a solidly medium bodied brew with moderate carbonation that drinks pretty well for the ABV. The feel is fairly heavy with just a tasteful bit of spritely tingle for the tongue. A definite hop brew for the holidays when you might want to pace yourself a little to enjoy the crackling fire. Very nice.
