Bottle 1674 poured into a LA teku.
A: Deep ruby body topped with a three finger tan head. Head recedes to one finger but lingers for the majority of the beer. Epic head retention for a sour, beautiful beer.
S: Tart cherries, raisins, stone fruits, and mellow acidity. Red wine becomes prominent as it warms. Great nose.
T: Massive cherry flavors and citric tangerine. Tannic dark fruits from the wine barrel. Good flavor, but falls short of the aroma.
M: Relatively full bodied and slick for a sour with a long tannic finish and high carb.
O: Gotta be bottle variation on this one. I'm a sucker for cherries so my review is probably a bit higher, but some of the previous comments (aggressively acetic/harsh) were nowhere to be found in this bottle. Hats off to you Tomme! Excited to see how the other bottles develop.

Pours a mahogany hue with a translucent clarity and a frothy, half-inch, cream-colored head. Nose reveals cherries, hints of oak and vanilla. Taste follows nose; however, flavor profile is a bit more oak forward and there's some cinnamon in the mix. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a lively carbonation. Acidity is a bit too aggressive. All and all, interesting and complex. I definitely see some aging potential with this beer.
