Bomber to chalice.
Spice, biscuit, citrus
Dry, spice laden entry. Spice reminiscent of the holiday-cinnamon, all spice?. Citrus/orange peel, apricot, stone fruit. Soft, clean bitterness. Spicy, slightly floral and earthy hop notes. It does have some funk to it. As a huge saison fan, it seems a bit restrained. The light malt seems almost pale/muted in flavor, but bready. But the malt profile leaves behind some residual sugars that balance out the dry entry. The alcohol is more detectable as the beer warms. There is a modest cereal finish.
Medium, yet syrupy mouthfeel. Bright carbonation.
I enjoyed it. I had no expectations. I would like to see other offerings from this style.
