750 ml bottle split and poured into a tulip. 11.0% ABV, 2009 Vintage.
Oh look, another wild shared by the "King of Wilds" himself, sweemzander. Brew #5 for the evening.
A - Completely uninteresting hazy pond-water brown in color with a quickly fleeting head, there is absolutely nothing left over. No foam, no bubbles, no lace. Damn, this is an ugly beer.
S - Deep amber malts and Belgian yeast notes of fruity esters; dark cherries and fig. Notes of wild Brett funk blend well with the rest of the brew.
T - Sharp tart flavor of Brett funk all over the place with complex but largely hidden fruity notes of cherry and fig with a trace of raisins. Bitter-like hoppy finish balances the whole cuveé nicely.
M - Sharp tart sourness and spritzy carbonation with a crisp, light finish that's a little bit on the dry side.
D - Ok drinkability and nice blend of the fruity esters with the wild funk but after the great wilds of the night so far, it's the least drinkable on the totem pole.

Snifter pour with nice carbonation. Pours an amber/brown colored ale with a beige head. Burgandy highlights. Light foam around the glass.
Aroma consists of red vinegar, red wine, cherries, old school funk and oak.
Taste is sour cherries with noticeable red wine characteristics. Slight vanilla on the aftertaste. Wood and oak present as well. Good stuff.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised, but no overwhelmed by this pricey brew. Was happy to have tried it but the overall cost would make me think twice about consuming another. Still a good beer and session though.
