appearance: 12oz pour in an unbranded snifter, muddy amber body, soapy white suds and a light filmy lace
smell: bourbon, tart and sweet cherry, oak, brown sugar
taste:intermingling of tart and sweet cherries, moderate notes of bourbon, oak, vanilla and brown sugar, raisin and caramel. Interesting, but not all it was cracked out to be.
mouthfeel: light tartness, oily, light bourbon bite
overall: pretty good - would have a hard time justifying the sticker price on a bottle though
Serving type: on-tap

Snifter pour with nice carbonation. Pours an amber/brown colored ale with a beige head. Burgandy highlights. Light foam around the glass.
Aroma consists of red vinegar, red wine, cherries, old school funk and oak.
Taste is sour cherries with noticeable red wine characteristics. Slight vanilla on the aftertaste. Wood and oak present as well. Good stuff.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised, but no overwhelmed by this pricey brew. Was happy to have tried it but the overall cost would make me think twice about consuming another. Still a good beer and session though.
