Outstanding first impression. Never over your head, finely made and champagne like.
A: Appearance even from a 2 year old bomber is much the best part. Apricot color, hazed, with energetic head and pin point bubbles, and gobs of lace. Like a true belgian.
S: A bit too laid back for me, but very fine and inviting with an original orange/coriander/pepper/lemon rind core. Champagne like. Tingly.
T: More here, at cellar temperature, subtle but refined, layered complexity. Follows the smell with a bit more hay and grassiness mid-palate, and again the white pepper in the finish.
MF: A bit sticky, soapy mouthed, perhaps due to the age or yeast. The only ding. Like a cleaner, crisper ending. Recommend at cellar temp.
Well made of great ingredients.
